HOW I WANT TO GO
HOW I WANT TO GO

About the performance: In front of us were Jette Užāne's Diaries. Girls who at the age of 6 were left with immobile legs. Girls whose inner strength, restless spirit made them seek ways of self-expression.
At the age of 50, she experienced her first solo exhibitions, which later took place not only in Latvia but also in various parts of the world. She knitted mittens herself - in tapestry technique. Knitting not only Latvian symbols, but everything around: trees, flowers, paintings, books, people, events... The idea arose to do something impossible – to create a movement performance about a physically immobile person.
Each of us has our own story, but together we wanted to tell the story of a person's growth, coming of age, and self-fulfillment.
